Clarification Process

The diagram to the right shows the basic setup of the WBT system for clarifying water for re-use, as well as, recovering bypassed oil for additional sales. The contaminated water enters the system through a single intake and the WBT unit separates the fluid into two revenue streams (Brine & Oil). No oil passes downstream of the WBT. The brine water is is sent back through an oil separator. ready for reuse and the remaining oily water

Process

The WBT clarification process takes the contaminated fluid, removes oils, bacteria, and other pollutants from the fluid, creating very high-quality water. Fit for re-use as frac fluid, workover fluid, or kill fluid, the segregated stream has a reduced water content relative to the inlet stream. The oil particles coalesce more efficiently and the segregated stream can be put through the traditional separation process. The picture shown is the inlet feed and the clarified water from the test skid in this pilot.
